Bob Epstein-Chief Executive Officer: Bob Originally joined the company in 1988 and served as the Executive Vice President of the Retail Division. Bob has over 20 years background in finance, operations, strategic planning and systems for the retail industry, as well as corporate accounting. He has extensive experience in the areas of inventory evaluation, restructuring, bankruptcy, crisis management, budgeting and financial planning. He has led projects for many major jewelry liquidations including, Samuel's Fine Jewelers, Whitehall Jewelers, Golbro Catalog Showrooms, Friedman's Jewelers, Spritzer & Furhmann, Ross-Simons and Shane & Company as well as non jewelry liquidations such as K-Mart, TandyCrafts, Herman's Sporting Goods and Hart, Schaffner and Marx Men's Clothiers.
John Jones-Chief Operating Officer: John Jones originally joined Silverman in 1991 as Director of Merchandising. John has been responsible for purchasing and selling over 100 Million dollars in jewelry. He is an expert in evaluating inventory values and has been hired by numerous financial institutions to help in determining the value of client's jewelry inventories. John has extensive experience in both the retail and wholesale jewelry business.
Darren Fries-Sales Manager: Darren originally joined Silverman in 1992 as Controller of the Sale Accounting Division. He started his career as a credit analyst for the Bank of New York. Darren has a strong analytical background and oversees the ongoing operations for Silverman's sales events. Darren also has performed numerous bank evaluations for many of the leading financial institutions such as GE Capital, SunTrust, Wachovia, Bank of America and many others.
Vernon Massey, Chairman of the Board, and Connie Massey have been in the jewelry industry for over 30 years.
They operate out of the New York City office located in Rockefeller Center. Vernon is one of the largest buyers and sellers of wholesale jewelry inventories in the industry.
Vernon has bought and sold over 2 billion dollars of jewelry inventories. He is the key liaison between the Vendors and Silverman and his excellent relationship with the trade is one of the key reasons that Silverman has access to everything from promotional goods, designer brands and certified diamond product of all sizes and qualities at tremendous values.
